The OMRON LD MOBILE ROBOT is an intelligent autonomous vehicle (IAV) designed to dynamically move equipment in challenging environments such as tight corridors or dynamic, populated locations. Unlike autonomously guided vehicles (AGVs), Omron's mobile robot does not require any modifications to facilities, such as floor magnets or navigation beacons.


The LD includes Omron's proprietary software and controls to intelligently navigate people and unforeseen obstacles that make traditional VGAs unnecessary, and it can be programmed and up and running in less than a day. The system can be customized for a variety of applications and payloads. Manufacturing, warehouses, cleantech, and laboratories are just a few ideal environments for the mobile robot.

Omron mobile robots fully comply with safety standards. They use an onboard laser and other sensors to detect obstacles in their path and, depending on the speed of travel, trigger a stop to prevent the vehicle from colliding.
